Due to its unique properties, abachi plank is the best option for sauna benches. Abachi is tropical wood with a straw yellow colour. Unlike other wood, abachi has very few knots which are of the same colour as the base material.

 Abachi is a variety of African oak,  also known as obiche, obechi, samba or balsa. Abachi tree may be up to 3 m in diameter. Branches are only on top of the tree, that is why abachi wood has very few knots. Porous, with low thermal conductivity, it is an optimal choice for sauna decoration. Easily sanded and polished. Easy to work with, free from resin, and water-resistant.
