Thermal shield 0.60 х 0.98 m, stainless, complete with fasteners

Application: the thermal shield for a Finish sauna or Russian bath is designed to protect wood surfaces in a steam room from exposure to oven heat and hot vapour. Thermal insulation of sauna's wood surfaces from high temperatures decreases the pyrolysis (wood decomposition) effect and thus extends the service life of lime/abachi/aspen/cedar planks. 

Material: 0.5 mm stainless mirror polished steel. 

Usage: the thermal shield is mounted with screws/self-tapping screws on the steam room's wood wall planks strictly behind the oven. For the shield to cool, at last a 3 cm clearance should be left by using four ceramic distance pieces that come in a set with the thermal shield. 

Benefits: the shield has a flanged edge for more rigidity and flatness. The surface is mirror polished to provide additional heat reflective protection of wood planks. The shield has mounting holes and comes with fasteners. Do not forget to use ceramic distance pieces for a clearance between the shield and steam room's wood walls and ceiling. It will substantially reduce heat-transfer from the shield to wood walls.
