Thermal shield 0.98х0.98 m

Application: thermal shield for sauna or bath is designed to protect the steam room's wood surfaces around and above the sauna oven from exposure to heat produced by stones and metal parts of electric or wood-fired ovens, thus decreasing the pyrolysis effect – wood decomposition caused by high temperatures. 

Material: 0.5 mm stainless steel with a mirror surface. 

Usage: the thermal shield is fixed behind the oven with self-tapping screws on lime/abachi/aspen/cedar planks. Remember: for the shield to cool, at last a 3 cm clearance should be left by using four ceramic distance pieces (cylinders) that come in a set with the thermal shield. It will substantially reduce the exposure of wood walls to oven heat.
