Nephrite stones for use in a wet/dry sauna, weight 20 kg, packed in a plastic bucket. Produced in Russia.
Application:
Nephrite stones are used in a wet/dry sauna stove for heat accumulation. The stones release heat to bring sauna air, walls, benches and ceiling to the required temperature. When splashed on heated sauna stones, water evaporates to deliver hot steam.
Benefits:
Semiprecious monomineralic rock, resistant to cracking, one of the hardest sauna stones.
Physical properties:
Density 3,360 kg/m3
Specific heat capacity 1.1 kJ/(kg°С)
Homogeneous texture.
Structure: diverse columnar
Compression strength 800 MPa
Colour: ranges from white through all shades of green to black
Use:
Before placing in an electric stove or wood burning stove, wash the stones to clean dust and air-dry them, remove small or damaged stones. Leave some distance between the stones to allow air circulation. Put larger flat stones on the bottom, and smaller stones on the top.
In an electric stove, the distance between the heaters should be the same. Electric stove heaters should be fully covered with stones (5–8 cm over heaters is recommended).
