Mounting: For more accuracy, the thermometer is mounted at some distance from the heat or cold source (stove, steam generator, door or window) to prevent errors in readings. Overheating or overcooling can put the instrument out of operation. Best mounting option in the sauna/cabin/steam room is the farthest wall from the electric/wood-fired stove and the door, at the eye level of a bather sitting on the upper bench, or 30-50 cm from the ceiling.
