Key physical properties:
Semi-precious stone with high heat output
Density 3360 kg/m3
Specific heat capacity 0.88 kJ/(kg°С)
Massive texture
Structure: fine to coarse grains
Compression strength 360-940 MPa
Colour: white, shade of green, emerald
Application:
Jadeite stones are used in the wet/dry sauna stove for heat accumulation. Stones release heat and warm up air in the steam room. When splashed on hot sauna stones, water evaporates to deliver wet steam.
Material:
Jadeite is a semi-precious stone. It is the most durable and beautiful natural stone ever used in saunas, with high heat output.
Jadeite benefits:
Highest density among other available sauna stones
Low water absorption
High thermal capacity
Most beautiful appearance among other available stones.
Durable
Use:
Before placing in an electric stove or wood burning stove, wash the stones to clean dust and air-dry them, remove small or damaged stones. Leave some distance between the stones to allow air circulation. Put larger flat stones on the bottom, and smaller stones on the top.
When laying stones in an electric stove, do not change the distance between the heaters. Electric stove heaters should be fully covered with stones (5–8 cm over heaters is recommended).
